Patent attorney trainee
Patrick Bürgel studied Molecular and Cellular Biology of Plants at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. During his studies he gained experience mainly in the fields of molecular genetics, immune biochemistry and genetic engineering. His Master's thesis dealt with the characterization of EMS mutagenized Arabidopsis lines with defects in paternal effect genes essential for plant fertilization using forward genetic methods.
As a scientist, Mr. Bürgel subsequently dealt with whole-genome sequencing and bioinformatics. In March 2018, Mr. Bürgel started his professional training as a patent attorney in our firm and supports us in representing our clients in the fields of mechanical and plant engineering, optics as well as measurement and medical technology.
